Onism describes the awareness of how little of the world you’ll experience. This emotion is almost synonymous with the portuguese term, Saudade, which is a deep emotional state of nostalgic or profound melancholic longing for an absent something or someone that one loves. However, Onism looks at the general human experience while suadade refers to a specific experience. These songs are pretty much my impression of these emotional experiences:
