While browsing the work Tumblr’s dash, I stumbled across this simple yet interesting comic. I think it’s important to show that people really use more dialogue around giving advice rather than being keener to say, ‘Yeah, go for it!’ Which, really, is what we’re looking for unless we actually ask for advice. I’m wondering where do some of us learn to draw the line between giving advice and actually stepping back and being encouraging to others? Without trying to either invest in their issues or solve them? I know I’m guilty of taking on everyone’s burdens and trying to fix them when really all I probably should’ve done is sat back and listened.
