Foster care has a special place in my heart. This month is Foster care awareness month! Yesterday I went to a Chalk Walk for Foster children and one of the many sings that were posted there was this one. Yesterday was so powerful and inspirational to be around many people who went through similar experiences or be around people who want to help foster children.

I absolutely love this sign and agree wholeheartedly that foster care is a blessing for those children who are in need of assistance. I couldn’t think of a better way to put it other than what is stated on this sign, because welcoming children into a new home and providing them with something that they were not receiving elsewhere is so, so vital. I appreciate the work that everyone who is involved with foster care does, and all those who work with DCF putting children out of harms way as well.
