There are many of us that have Netflix accounts of our own, or if not, somehow seem to stream using others’ accounts. With that being said, there are hundreds of things to watch on there, and sometimes it may be difficult to pick and choose what to watch on our own due to there being so many things to choose from. For those of you who do watch Netflix, I’d love to hear your top 3 choices of shows and/or movies from there, with perhaps a background on what they are about. I’ll go first.
1). Grey’s Anatomy- The medical drama series focuses on a group of doctors at a hospital in Seattle, including several who began their careers at the facility as interns. One of the doctors and the show’s namesake, Meredith Grey, is the daughter of a famous surgeon. She struggles to maintain relationships with her colleagues, particularly the hospital’s one-time chief of surgery, Richard Webber, due to a pre-existing relationship between them — Webber and Meredith’s mother had a personal relationship when Meredith was young.
2). Criminal Minds- An elite squad of FBI profilers analyzes the country’s most-twisted criminal minds, anticipating the perpetrators’ next moves before they can strike again. Each member of the “mind hunter” team brings his or her expertise to pinpoint predators’ motivations and identify emotional triggers to stop them. The core group includes an official profiler who is highly skilled at getting into the minds of criminals, a quirky genius, the former media liaison who manages to adeptly balance family life and the job, and a computer wizard.
3). How to Get Away with Murder- Annalise Keating (Oscar- and Tony-winning actress Viola Davis), a brilliant, charismatic and seductive professor of defense law, teaches a class called How to Get Away With Murder. Annalise, also a criminal defense attorney, selects a group of students — the best and the brightest — to assist with cases at her firm alongside her employees, the trustworthy and discreet Frank Delfino (Charlie Weber) and Bonnie Winterbottom (“Gilmore Girls” alum Liza Weil), an associate attorney. Mysteries arise that test everyone’s limits and reveal dark truths.
How about you guys???

I don’t watch many shows via Netflix? For instance I recently finished Hannibal online but that was super hard to find because it’s for some reason nowhere on sites like Hulu or Netflix! BUT. I think I know of a few that I like that are on Netflix and someone else may enjoy too!
1) American Horror Story – Everyone’s favorite where the seasons vary between a haunted house where it’s haunts are seeking to kill it’s inhabitants to a cult of witches and voodoo queens. None of the seasons intermingle but the actors and actresses seem to remain consistent. With popular recurring faces like Jessica Lange and Evan Peters, the show somehow remains fresh and horrifically exciting each season despite the familiar faces.
2) Hemlock Grove – A show consisting of gore, sex, and the ancient rivalry / turf war between vampires and werewolves… This series follows strange murders that occur in an unsuspecting town of Hemlock Grove, Pennsylvania causing the whole of the population to become sick with concern. Ironically, this draws two unlikely boys together who know nothing of one another’s secrets but reveal dark pasts.
3) Black Mirror – A Netflix original that, in layman’s terms, is a modernized take on Twilight Zone. I’ve only gotten one season in but I’m already hooked; from implants to help soldiers that have glitches you wouldn’t expect, to child monitoring devices that have terrible consequences, these open-ended episodes always keep you guessing and leave you wondering, “What just happened?” None of the episodes seem to tie into one another and if you want a strange kick in the head, this is the show for you!
4) Nailed It! – Another Netflix original based on the fad where people try to replicate recipes they find on the internet! It’s a bake-off where the show pulls three amateur bakers and pits them all against one another for the grand prize of 10k. The judges/hosts consist of Nicole Byers and Jacques Torres as well as a special guest that follows the theme of the episode. They unfortunately have to eat these sometimes raw pastries they’re given and need to go based on how well “nailed” the bakers got the cake or whathaveyou. From wedding cakes to unicorn cakes, nothing is put past the bakers at ALL. And it’s always a laugh and a cringe to see who actually follows the recipe.
Fallyn,
Thanks for sharing some of your favorite shows. I am definitely interested in checking out Nailed it, as I do occasionally do like baking and food shows, so that could be something that I would be interested in. Additionally, I found that I had a bunch of shows that were previously saved under “my list” that were no longer saved under there so when I went to check them again, I hadn’t noticed that there were new seasons of some of my favorite shows! I am currently catching up on those but it was definitely a pleasant surprise ! :O)
I just watched this AMAZING series on Netflix called “Stan Vs Evil”. It’s only three seasons long but it’s like a dark comedy, definitely try it out, I binge watched all three seasons in two days lol
That’s definitely a binge haha! I think I’ll have to check it out if its that good! I watched Baby Mama last night hahah, I used to love that movie but when I saw it I realized I haven’t seen it since I was a teenager and so i was curious to see how different it was now that I’m older and have a child! Not much different, still funny lol

My favorite show on Netflix is the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. At face value, it’s a remarkable sci-fi action adventure, but there is a lot more to it. It’s a treatise on existentialism, and confronting loneliness and uncertainty in the adult world. It is destined to remain one of the most significant and influential works in anime history!!! Watch it! Talk to me about it! Team Asuka or Team Rei?!
NEW FAVORITE SHOW ALERT*******!!!!!!
Watch The Haunting of Hill House NOW! It’s on netflix and it blew me away. I’m not a fan of thrillers really but this show has made me start to enjoy them! The plot is intense and insane and definitely worth your time!!!
I used to watch Netflix, some of the series there were really good, but now I don’t have much time and just have not found one that has caught my interest lately.
I’ll bet sooner or later there will be something coming that I will watch late up at night.
I do have time with my work schedule to check out the beautiful little baby elephants, they are so lovable and beautiful. I wish I had time and money to have a couple of baby elephants with their mothers on some land somewhere, they are truly amazing.
You should see this little movie about a little baby elephant being born and see how he looks after a few days of exploring the world around it.

I have recently caught up on the show The 100 and it was really good, I would recommend that!
