The Michael Kerr Respite Program (MKRP) is a short-term residential living center for individuals diagnosed with mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders.Ô_ This 5-bed program offers a stable environment that enhances wellness and supports recovery.Ô_Ô_ The site provides a therapeutic, homelike atmosphere where residents can safely address their individual needs.Ô_ The program strives to avert hospitalization and reintegrate residents into the community in the least restrictive and most appropriate setting possible.Ô_ Collaboration with all existing Sound Community Services programs in addition to area mental health providers occurs.Ô_ Case management services continue to be provided by the referring agency.Ô_ The Program staff continue to offer specific group activities to residents focused on daily living skills.
