TheÔ_summer program is for eligible youth age 14-21 in the Torrington area. The program runs for 6 weeks and youth are paid minimum wage for 20 hours of work at host worksites. Over 100 youth are hired annually and placed in various businesses, non-profit agencies, and work crews around the city.
TurningPointCT.org was developed by young people in Connecticut who are in recovery from mental health and substance use issues. We know what it’s like to feel alone, stressed, worried, sad, and angry. We’ve lived through the ups and downs of self-harm, drugs and alcohol, and the struggle to find help.
