I am a mother of three, and I live in the Greater Hartford Area. I enjoy walking with my kiddos, gardening, reading, and taking care of our chickens :) I also enjoy getting away with the hubby when our loving family and friends are willing to let us have some time to ourselves - you know who you are!
A little about my professional background includes that I work as an advocate and researcher in the field of behavioral health. I am a leading researcher in the area of emerging adults as a behavioral health service population (meaning I ask 100s of young people about their experience with recovery and the transition to adulthood on an annual basis).
I am also a member of the Windsor Board of Education, the Board of Directors for both the Capitol Area Substance Abuse Council and North Central Regional Mental Health Board; along with being a member of the SIM Consumer Advisory Board and the PAIMI Advisory Board. For more information please complete a quick Google search on any of these organizations or groups.
I find my involvement in the community to be highly rewarding, as I have experienced a number of challenges in my life that I would not have successfully managed without community based resources. I can only pray that my contribution makes a difference in someone's life.
Thanks for reading - maybe there will be more to come...

TurningPointCT.org was developed by young people in Connecticut who are in recovery from mental health and substance use issues. We know what it’s like to feel alone, stressed, worried, sad, and angry. We’ve lived through the ups and downs of self-harm, drugs and alcohol, and the struggle to find help.
