Since 1967 Connecticut Renaissance has provided quality substance abuse and mental health treatment to men, women, and adolescents throughout the state of Connecticut.

Connecticut Renaissance's Norwalk Adult Outpatient Programs provide treatment to individuals with substance abuse and addiction problems, psychiatric disorders and/or co-existing substance abuse and psychiatric disorders.

The outpatient programs serve clients referred through local hospitals, detoxes, therapists in private practice, employers, family, friends, the welfare system, adult probation, parole, other treatment facilities,. The length of the program is dependent on the client's needs and progress. The program also encourages the participation of family and/or significant others in treatment when appropriate.

The services offered in our outpatient programs include--but are not limited to--individual counseling, group therapy, intensive outpatient treatment, stress management, psychoeducational groups, couples enrichment, family therapy, anger management and relapse prevention. In addition to prescribed therapies, the staff recognizes the importance of self-help groups available in the community.

All staff are well-trained clinicians, many of whom have "walked a mile" in their clients' shoes, and all of whom exude genuine care and understanding of their clients' needs. At minimum, all are certified substance abuse counselors, and most have master level degrees with expertise in compulsive gambling, marriage and family counseling, social work, anxiety and depression, bereavement, or other areas.
