What would you do to make the world a better place?

Putting it very bluntly, sometimes, the society in which we currently live in isn’t the most pleasant. There is always a feud of some sort going on for some reason or another, half of the world hates our current president, while some support him and the other remaining percentage just do not care about politics. Bullying in schools and even in the workplace environment seems to be increasing as well, and many people only react when the victim ends up reacting in such a drastic way that lives are lost. Nevertheless, why do we as a society seem to always react to things once there is nothing we can do. Often times a huge negative occurrence has to take place and then the action that follows is something along the lines of “because of them NOW we will try harder/better”. The thing is though, why aren’t we trying our best BEFORE such tragedies happen?

My solution to make the world a better place really isn’t that out of this world. It’s a simple random act of kindness towards at least 2 people every week. To me, that seems reasonable, because everywhere we go we are surrounded by other humans who may need that random act of kindness, and they aren’t going to tell you that they need it. 2 people, that is all, each week. Those two people, may or may not pay it forward to more people immediately, but they will definitely remember what you did for them and will pay it forward one day. The point is though, that I did my part in helping make society better, and slowly, it will pay off.

What will you do to help make the world a better place?

    Hi Luz

This is a great topic. I wish I could change the world in many ways. One thing I could do is reach out to people who are struggling with drug addiction. I can go to schools and rehabs and give speeches on how drug addiction will destroy their lives and affect the people around them. I’ll preach to them that life will be better if you stay clean and sober. I would be a sponsor for someone I meet in NA or AA. Even If you help one person you are making a huge difference. Why? Lets say you helped one person in recovery and he has been clean for a year, that person can do the same thing and help another person and then he helps another group of people and they help another group of people, so it works like a chain reaction. Who knows one of those people can be a Doctor, Lawyer, Future leader, etc. Every little bit you can make a huge difference in society.

    Love this.

I am all about paying it forward. This would be my solution and I do it a lot of the time anyways. For example, If I find $20 on the ground, I would give $10 to someone. If someone pays for my coffee, I would do it too. This may not seem like much, but when someone sees another person doing this because they want too, sometimes it catches on.

    Hey guys,

Thanks for sharing your insight on what you would do to improve the world we live in.

    Carl,

I definitely agree with what you stated, because any life saved can become something amazing, and it can all begin with us.

    Torry,

I really feel like we should start a campaign or something with JRB, 2018 is a good year to do amazing things. Spreading the word about paying it forward is definitely a great way to let people know that there is still hope, positivity, good resources, and inspiration out there.
