A look back @ Bisexual Awareness Month

We’re all just trying to figure out who we are and and those who identify as bisexual face stigma and myths everyday. It’s so great to have a month like this set aside to break down these barriers, educate others and support bisexual individuals! It doesn’t matter if you’re straight, gay, bi, etc. You are wonderful no matter what you identify as! This month has given everyone statistics, resources, a plan of action and most of all a strong voice saying bisexuality is not “just a phase”.

How has figuring out your sexuality affected your life?

I follow the TurningPointCT.org Facebook and twitter page. You guys def kept me up to date with BiSexual Awareness. I learned a lot, so thanks for that.

I never really had to figure out my sexuality. I guess I just grew to identify as a heterosexual but that has not really affected my life. I was just always attracted to the opposite sex. My sexuality didn’t really affect my life.. well it has but not negatively. For the most part, heterosexual relationships are viewed as societal norms so everything I would want to do is accepted. However, I find that so annoying. People should be able to do whatever it is that they want to do. Our sexuality should not define who we are or how our life flows.
