Netflix is my friend!

I’ve literally been into documentaries and all the weird sci fi stuff all of my life but once I found out about Netflix, things have really gotten out of hand lol I don’t even watch cable tv as much as I have in the past. It’s just amazing at how many interesting films and shows are on there.. huge shoutout to them.

I was waiting for quite a while to watch Luke Cage (go watch it if you haven’t), especially after watching Jessica Jones last year. I finished it in about 2-3 weeks lol tried to make it last. It was really good! I’m back to vampire diaries right now, Netflix added season 7! Tis the season to snuggle up and watch something good, I’m so for it! Lol hope you all are too.

Netflix is literally the greatest thing ever.

Although I have one beef with Netflix – people like to say that streaming content is the future, and the dvds/blu rays will fade out.I agree that as internet speeds increase and coverage widens, streaming will become easier for everyone. But Netflix rotates their content, so your favorite movie is not permanent on there.

Plus, i’m kind of greedy and want all my favorites safe. I like to personally collect as many tv shows and movies as I can afford, and blu ray if possible.

FYI – I found these awesome binders that look really cool, and hold a lot of dvd/blu rays/cds. They save so much space too. In my studio apartment, I don’t have a lot of room. These babies consolidated my collection and allow me to have everything neat and organized.

Plus, to be honest, most people get in hibernation mode this time of year. When it gets dark at like 4pm, the natural tendency is to huddle inside and turn on that tv. I just also am a huge video game nerd haha so it doesn’t bother me!
(what is this exercise you speak of haha!?!)

I also found a page that lists all the upcoming shows for the month of November. Check it out –

I completely agree. Netflix is cool but I need to have my DVD on deck and at arms reach. I’m so greedy when it comes to the movies I love as well.

I guess Netflix tries to offer so much that they almost do themselves a disservice by only providing a limited amount entertainment for a period of time.

Thanks for the link to the binders. Right now I have all of my DVDs in their original cases.. but there are some loose ones and they’re just stacked on the shelf. I hope they’ll work when I go to watch them since I’m sure they’ve accumulated so many scratches 🙁 .

Btw… Luke Cage was amazing!! It was nice to see another awesome Marvel character come alive. I loved the perspective and the spin.. it was so dope, real and modern. I have to check out vamp diaries, I’ve heard great things.

I did not know beforehand that Netflix takes turns rotating their movie selection, I always thought that all their movies would always be available. When I went to go watch my favorite Netflix movie, Camp, on there for like the hundredth time I noticed it was no longer available and was caught totally off guard! 🙁

In addition to these great shows that you guys have mentioned, has anyone gotten hooked on How to get Away with Murder? Netflix has recently added season 3, and for those of us who don’t have cable like I do, it was a long wait!
