Come check out our NEW space in Hartford called THE SPOT! 399 Franklin Ave. Hartford (Just two turns off of the I91 Airport Road exit.
We created THE SPOT as a group of young people who have all overcome challenges in our life. We realized that there was no place for us to just be who we are, while gaining access to ongoing peer support, SO we decided to get together to create a space where we could hang out for free. We’ve got awesome activities and workshops, along with areas to just do whatever.
We have access to things like: Wii, board games, great books, art supplies, computers, and various workshops like Writers Block and our Open Mic the last Friday of the month. Along with part-time JOB opportunities… That are based on your lived experience.
The best part is that we are ALL going through the transition into adulthood and we’ve all made a commitment to figure it out together. It’s difficult enough, but even more challenging without a support system of awesome individuals who share in the struggle.

The Elm City Phoenix Club in New Haven is also a great place to hang out! Donations and/or small membership fee is necessary. There are AA meetings, a concession stand, television, and other activities offered in a very comfortable setting.
