The Center for the Treatment of Developmental Trauma Disorders needs your help to develop an online training series to teach therapists ways to respond to youth and their families when stressful things happen during therapy sessions. There may be times when a youth or family member becomes very upset or doesn’t want to participate in therapy. They want to know what you think are the most stressful things in therapy. Your answers will be anonymous and they will not record your name or any information that would tell them who you are. Also, they won’t know whether or not the things you tell them have happened to you or your family. You do not have to answer questions that you do not feel comfortable answering, and completing this survey is completely voluntary. They think that learning about your views will help them to better train therapists.
TurningPointCT.org was developed by young people in Connecticut who are in recovery from mental health and substance use issues. We know what it’s like to feel alone, stressed, worried, sad, and angry. We’ve lived through the ups and downs of self-harm, drugs and alcohol, and the struggle to find help.
