I have been relying on ear plugs for many years now while sleeping. I use them during the night to help secure a good night sleep. But I always had trouble sleeping with it at night. And now I have been experiencing a lot of irritation , pain and infection in the ear canal. I don’t know if it’s because of wearing them.
I even feel ringing in one of my left ear and I wonder if it is a sign of tinnitus. It’s like my ear gets full a little bit i.e a feeling of fullness then little ear twitching here and there. Sometimes I feel like I am completely deaf. Now my ear infection is also irritating my skin due to the prolonged use of ear plugs. I don’t want to allow these conditions to get out of hand and progress to inner ear problems. I am going to see an ENT for my hearing impairment in Toronto. Has anyone had this? What was your experience? Please share.
I haven’t had any issues with this personally, but I am hoping you are able to find a solution to your discomfort soon. Please let us know if you were able to find any remedies for this. Also, have you tried perhaps looking into anything that would have the same effects of the ear plugs? Maybe some calming music in the background instead of something directly in your ear so there is no irritation? Nevertheless, we all have things that work for us and things that do not. Either way, I am not an expert on this at all, but I do hope you find relief soon!
