With the current pandemic, many sports have been forced to either suspend or delay their seasons. With baseball being my favorite sport, I can definitely relate to how the pandemic has effected baseball, because the season which was supposed to start in April, is now set to start on Thursday, July 23rd, and with no fans in attendance.
With this being said, how has the current pandemic impacted any sports you typically enjoy watching or attending live? Do you feel like there should be any differences made to how things are being handled in the world of sports right now?
basketball was delayed but it is back and i cant be more excited. they are safe in the bubble and they’re ready to play. im concerned about football and hopefully baseball works out.
Not sure if this counts, but marching band’s probably cancelled at my school. It sucks, we’ve won nationals a couple years, but I guess it makes sense, can’t really social distance doing that.
ben it sucks that they cancelled that but it definitely makes sense since its hard to social distance. If anyone is missing out on sports watch some nba the games have been very competitive and exciting to watch.
Thankfully, Football started on Thursday. Opening night with The Kansas City Chiefs against The Houston Texans. The Chiefs picked up right where they left off. With Maholmes Under contract for 12 years, Tyreek Hill for another 3 years I believe. Travis Kelce inked a 4 year deal. Sammy Watkins got a contract for less money when he could have left. CEH NFL Debut was over 100 yards rushing so he has a rookie contract that is 5 years I believe. Chris Jones and Frank Clark were resigned being a part of a very underrated defense. We have the next Dynasty in football for years to come. Can’t wait for Sunday! Week 1 Lets go
I’m so glad football has started without any issues. I know a lot of people who are football fans and they would be so disappointed if something had delayed the season. Additionally, I’m very excited that baseball has been going fairly smoothly. There has been a couple of cancelled games here and there due to COVID, but overall the season has been good and since it’s a shorter season, the playoffs will be here in about 2 weeks!!!
Me too Luz! Sadly, pretty much the entire Tennessee Titans team has tested positive for Covid, and they have had to postpone and reschedule their last 2 games. Also certain players from other teams have caught it as well. I hope the season doesn’t shut down, but if the cases continue to increase and them having to postpone games and cancel them the NFL might have to shut down the season. I have been keeping up with the baseball playoffs a decent amount. I apologize for the Yankees. They just got knocked out of the playoffs. I know this doesn’t help, but I am a Dallas fan for football and you have every right to laugh and make fun of me for that lol. People have already been crackin jokes and on me for that.
