There’s a new story up on “Our Stories” from Shannon. I really loved it, since she talked about her chronic migraines and getting that diagnosis, as well as her self harm. I also really loved how she showed that recovery is NOT a straight line, A to B process. Thank you so much Shannon!!!
Yes, an absolute great read! Thanks for sharing Shannon!
I’m still trying to wrap my head around her high school not being able to accommodate her because of her struggle with migraines. I think that’s absurd! Since then, I hope that high schools are doing a much better job at being able to handle students who struggle with physically and/or mentally .. it’s just not fair to Shannon or anyone else, who had to sacrifice their education because a school was not capable of doing their job.
I’m happy to know that you have since grown past that and have figured out ways to live your life and fulfill everything that you want to. I’m very happy to hear that you have moved forward with college courses and that you are taking everything one day at a time. Getting your GED was such a big step as well, kudos to you!
