It’s the little things in life that are important and self care is one of them. Doing small things like managing your hygiene or giving yourself a day off can have a big impact. You might not notice it now but later it’ll prevent you from completely burning out. Self care isn’t just for your mental health, it can be for your physical well being as well. Self care doesn’t mean you are self centered and it will bring out the best version of yourself for others as well. Some things I like to do for self care are my makeup, reading a book, and listening to music. Practicing mindfulness and self awareness can improve your self care. Understanding what works for you and what doesn’t is a crucial part of improving yourself. Being fully in the moment can allow you to take time for yourself and focus on you and only you. When you do things, do it with intent. This means that when you take a walk, breathe in the air and look at your surroundings for instance. Self care can be valuable for grounding yourself as well. Taking the time to look inward can allow for growth and change which is crucial to getting healthy. There is a lot that can come out of self care so if you give it a try it can be a positive experience. What are some things you like to do for self care?
