Hello All!
I just wanted to inform you all about an upcoming event my organization will be holding. The Pro Healing Rally will take place this Friday, November 21st from 1-3PM at the CT state capitol on the north steps.

This FREE event will highlight additional ways of healing from struggle and crisis, methods that DO NOT include forced treatment. Speakers will share their narratives of pain and triumph and discuss the benefits of practices such as yoga, meditation, mutual support and ways of responding to crisis. Speakers will include people who have been recognized nationally as well as locally for their writing, speaking, leadership, activism and above all perseverance.

Come listen, experience holistic modalities first hand, and be a part of loving and enthusiastic community-building. Natural Henna, chair massage, reiki, sound healing, drumming, yoga, and live music, will be available free of charge.

Advocacy Unlimited, Inc., (AU) is a statewide nonprofit organization whose mission focuses on Recovery, Wellness, and Human Rights. AU offers comprehensive recovery and advocacy education for persons with psychiatric and/or addiction histories.

AU emphasizes human rights and dignity for all, and opposes forced treatment and all other forms of discrimination against individuals who have received or are currently receiving services.
