August 31st is National Overdose Awareness Day. I’ve been seeing so many different events coming up and I wanted to try to make a list of the different events throughout CT. I have listed some, but definitely would love to hear other one’s that I am forgetting!
Fairfield CARES is hosting a vigil with speakers and tons of resources on Fri. Aug. 31 7-8PM at Sherman Town Green, Fairfield
The New Canaan Community Foundation is hosting their 2nd Annual Overdose Awareness Day Vigil with speakers and resources on Thursday Aug. 30 from 7-8:30PM at 6 South Ave, New Canaan.
FADE(Fighting Against Drugs Everywhere) is hosting their 4th Annual 5k Run/Walk for Overdose Awareness on Thursday, Aug. 30th from 5:45 PM – 9 PM at 100 Canal St, Shelton.
Today I Matter organization is gathering outside of Perdue Pharma in Stamford on Friday, Aug. 31st from 2-3PM holding posters of those who have overdosed.
