Hey guys we have an awesome new feature for December!!
Eliza (me) went to a holiday dance show, called All Wrapped Up, which was put on by Step’n Out Dance Studio in Norwalk, CT.
The second act had a special dance, called Recovery. It started with the announcer saying, “To all those who are suffering, you are not alone”
The dance was amazing, and powerful. I had goosebumps the whole time and was really moved by the fact that this dance studio, with dancers of all ages, chose to create an original dance about Recovery.
Thanks to Shelby Greger, the coregrapher and Susan Tomaselli, the studio owner.
And a special shout out to the dancers, who are from the Girls Advanced Hip Hop 2 Class: Olivia D’Elia, Julia Lihv, Nahjeera Miller, Kate Riordan, and Marissa Roc
TurningPointCT.org was developed by young people in Connecticut who are in recovery from mental health and substance use issues. We know what it’s like to feel alone, stressed, worried, sad, and angry. We’ve lived through the ups and downs of self-harm, drugs and alcohol, and the struggle to find help.
