I always love finding out interesting facts! Feel free to add any you may know!

-A U.S. dollar bill can be folded approximately 4,000 times in the same place before it will tear.

-You cannot snore and dream at the same time.

-The average person walks the equivalent of three times around the world in a lifetime.

-A hippo’s wide open mouth is big enough to fit a 4-foot-tall child in.

-Chewing gum while you cut an onion will help keep you from crying.

    I loveeeee fun facts! Here are some of my favorite:

    -In Switzerland it is illegal to own just one Guinea Pig.
    -May 29th is officially “put a pillow on a fridge day”
    -7 % of American adults believe chocolate milk comes from brown cows.
    -If you lift a kangaroo’s tail off the ground, it can’t hop.
    -Bananas are curved because they grow towards the sun.
    -In the 16th century, Arab women could initiate divorce if their husbands didn’t pour coffee for them.

    In honor of the fact that it’s finally Friday:

    -MLB umpires usually wear black underwear just in case they split their pants.
    -A goldfish has an average attention span of 8 seconds.
    -Sometimes bees sting other bees.

    -A single cloud can weigh more than one MILLION pounds!!!

    Apparently, the phenomena of brain freeze is caused by the “freezing” or fast constriction of blood vessels in the mouth and throat when eating cold foods!

    It’s Friyay again, so here are a couple more fun facts for you all!

    -There’s an island in Japan you can visit that’s inhabited only by friendly bunnies.
    -There are actually more public libraries in the US than McDonald’s.
    -The last letter added to the English alphabet wasn’t Z — it was the letter J.
    -Before the invention of color TV, 75% of people said they dreamed in black and white. Today, only 12% do.
    -Wombat poop is cube-shaped.
    -The voice of Mickey Mouse and the voice of Minnie Mouse got married in real life 🙂

    -In 1963, major league baseball pitcher Gaylord Perry remarked, “They’ll put a man on the moon before I hit a home run.” On July 20, 1969, an hour after Neil Armstrong set foot on the surface of the moon, Perry hit his first, and only, home run while playing for the San Francisco Giants.

    – The only Blockbuster store in the world that is still operating is in Bend, Oregon.

    -Blood donors in Sweden receive a thank you text when their blood is used.

    -In Japan, letting a sumo wrestler make your baby cry is considered good luck.

    -The scientific term for brain freeze is “sphenopalatine ganglioneuralgia”.

    -Calling “shotgun” when riding in a car comes from the term “shotgun messenger” which was used to refer to the guard who sat next to the Stagecoach driver. The guards would use a shotgun to keep robbers and criminals away. It made its way into society due to Hollywood’s love of Western flicks.

    -There is actually a difference between coffins and caskets – coffins are typically tapered and six-sided, while caskets are rectangular.

    -At birth, baby panda is smaller than a mouse.
    – Iceland does not have a railway system.
    -Although the GPS is free for the world to use, it cost more than 2 million dollars per day to operate. The money comes from the American tax Revenue.

    Sneezing- There are a few different explanations about the origins of “God bless you,” or in short, “Bless you.” The first dates back to the first century, and is deeply rooted in superstition. Back then, a sneeze was sometimes thought to be the body’s way of trying to rid itself of evil spirits. So, in that case, saying “God bless you” was a way to try to provide a protection, or a good luck charm, against the evil spirits leaving or inhabiting the body.

    Most countries don’t refrigerate eggs. In the US, eggs are washed which removes the natural barrier for bacteria. As a result, they have to be oiled and refrigerated to avoid contamination.
