So, this young adult started an Instagram account where people can share their experience with mental health disorders. Within weeks, nearly 100 videos flooded the page, with submissions from at least 21 states and six countries, including Nigeria, Switzerland and Canada!!
What do you guys think of this? I think this is so empowering and inspiring and really helps break the stigma of mental health disorders!
I think anytime we can be totally honest and own it is a great thing. I truly believe 2017 was the year we all have “had it” and are now awake. It is great to hear that 2018 is the year for showing up and being real – naming it and claiming it.
What is cool about it is that the videos are only 1 minute long, which helps when my perfectionist streak starts worrying about the logistics, etc. It is great to see it has caught worldwide attention – Michael
