HOW BOW DAH?

Many of us have heard by some means or another about the 13-year-old girl who has become famous after her appearance on Dr. Phil’s show and kept repeating the phrase “catch me outside how bout dah”? Her behavior is simply horrendous and she appears to have a ton of issues that stem from a deeper cause that needs to be addressed, not advertised and blown out of proportion in order to help her become notorious. The issue I seem to be having with this is the following- everyday countless young people are ridiculed, put down, made fun of, even bullied for not having the proper level of education. Meanwhile, this teenage girl has become idolized because she is disrespectful, does not follow the rules, is “ghetto” and is currently making more money than I am? Does anyone else see a problem with our society? If we are trying to build a nation of equality, that promotes education, well being, dedication, honesty, hard work, respect, etc., why are we putting down some kids who act this way while praising, building up and paying others who act the exact same way?

In my personal opinion, the problem stems from the home, for where there is a strong foundation built there is no crumbling. With that being said, I think that if her mother understood that it was more than just a publicity thing and that this whole ordeal was about the well being of her daughter, this girl could have a chance. Until then, ignorance is bliss.

ohhhh my gosh that girl makes me crazy! I can’t believe that she’s getting recognition, yet there are teens that are doing SO much good for the community and don’t get recognized. But, that’s the media for ya, they only show depressing and ridiculous things!
